Superb Guest House, Hotel in Central Islamabad Pakistan"

"I'm just back from 15 days on a journalistic trip based at New Cape Grace. It proved to be ideal: comfortable beds, great room, central location and excellent food cooked fresh whenever I wanted it. Nothing is too much trouble for Karim and Samir. You need a car at 5.30 am? It will be there. A document scanned and emailed? They have the equipment. A paracetamol for a headache? Coming right up. I have no hesitation in saying that next time I'm in Islamabad, I'll be staying there.

“3 weeks here and I never missed home!”

I spent the most part of my 3 week vacation staying here as a tourist after originally booking 1 week. First time to Pakistan and I only had a vague idea of what to see in and around Islamabad so I was really surprised and thankful that Mr. Karim and Samir had new suggestions each day for places to visit. These included forts, markets, monuments and gardens. They even arranged for a driver to take me to these sites (some quite far such as Murree and Rohtas fort) at a reasonable cost and helped me arrange my stay at Lahore on short notice. My limited knowledge of Urdu was no problem thanks to their help making phone calls for bus bookings, etc.

There was an interesting variety lodging at NCG including journalists, researchers and people working for NGOs. Naturally as a shy person I didn't intend to meet anyone but the atmosphere was so welcoming at the entrance that I met quite a few and befriended some NGO workers with CDRS who took me up to Kashmir to visit.

I stayed in 3 rooms during my visit, all were very clean and spacious. Showers and beds were comfortable. Always something good on TV too. The guest house is situated in a quiet residential area of Islamabad, not too far from the commercial Blue Area, a 5-minute taxi ride from F7 Jinnah Market and a 10-minute walk away from F6 Supermarket (my fave). Sometimes taxis have trouble finding the guest house's exact location so I used to tell them "7th Avenue, F-6/1, House #8" (even if the guest house might technically be on Justice Abdul Rasheed).

As a recent graduate looking not to spend much, I found the pricing reasonable and the value great. Good security, courteous staff with also night pickups/dropoffs available for a reasonable cost. I found NCG to be very accommodating and like a home away from home. I believe it would also make a great spot for short stays.

"Comfy and extremely helpful staff!"

Had some short biz to do in Islamabad so dropped in for a two night stay. Online registration and Email correspondence with the Manager was very well handled and efficient. Airport pickup as requested without a hitch. Room was quaint and perfectly serviceable - very clean and was just what was necessary. Lightning quick internet. Staff helped me at every turn, including getting me a SIM card for my phone & some phone credit, assisting with transport for the errands I had to run, effecient wake-up calls and coffee brought to my room. Absolutely the place to stay if you need a simply but pleasantly appointed guest room & the most attentive and professional service in Islamabad you could ask for.

"A great little place in the big city"

Everything about this worked out. I made an email reservation and upon arrival they were expecting me. The room was clean and comfortable, the food good and staff very friendly and helpful. Security guard out front, closed gate at night, free internet in the lobby are just more reasons I liked it. Would I stay here again? Of course! In my mind there is nowhere else to stay!

"THE CHOICE IS EASY!!"

New Cape Grace is without a doubt the best valued room in Islamabad and more importantly the most outstanding hospitality one could imagine, anywhere. I felt 100% safe and secure from the moment I arrived - at 4AM with a ride from the airport - and the impeccable quality of the service continued throughout my 14-day stay. Needless to say, I highly recommend NCG for anyone interested in comfort as well as security.

I live up in the mountains doing charitable relief work and come down to Islamabad once a month or so for meetings, buying medicines for our health facilities, picking up volunteers, etc. There are several guest houses I've tried out over the last few years, but 8 months ago I began staying at New Cape Grace, and have found a home away from home. When it comes to the combination of price, service and amenities, New Cape Grace is the best guest house in Islamabad. Other guest houses I've tried are more expensive, but I've experienced frequent problems that are very frustrating, especially when you visit a second time and the problems have not been solved by management. This indicates an owner and staff who simply don't care about the comfort of their guests- the internet is consistently down, the hot water is rarely hot (sometimes the water isn't there at all), the rooms are not clean, the pillows are not soft, the furnishings are cheap, the staff is not friendly, attentive and cooperative. New Cape Grace charges less but their amenities, rooms, food and service are comparable to what one would find in an upper scale bed & breakfast guest house in any tourist destination in The States. The thing I most like about New Cape Grace is that the ownership and staff work hard to provide a relaxing and affordable place that people like me will want to come back to again and again. They have earned my highest recommendation.

The owners and staff of the New Cape Guesthouse in Islamabad went above and beyond to make our visit the best it could be. We spend nearly a month there and in the end felt we were staying with family. I have stayed at many of places all over the world, but can honestly stay that the New Cape Guesthouse will always be at the top of my list. I highly recommend it.
